John entered the venture industry in 1992, when he joined DSV Partners as Chief Financial Officer. John became a General Partner of DSV in 1995. John has served as the administrative General Partner for Cardinal Partners since its inception in 1997 and was a co-founder.

John is responsible for the management of the financial and information reporting systems and administrative support for Cardinal. John also assists the Partners with portfolio company financial issues and serves periodically as an interim CFO for those enterprises.

Prior to joining DSV, John spent six years with Day & Zimmermann, Inc., a $1 billion services conglomerate located in Philadelphia. His positions there included division controller, corporate financial analyst and corporate tax manager. John also has four years experience as a controller and financial analyst in the oil and gas industry.

John was Director of the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group from 1995 through 1998 and currently serves on the Biotechnology and Life Sciences Advisory Committee for Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, the NVCA CFO Task Force, and the Advisory Board for the Private Equity CFO Association, Philadelphia Chapter. John is also a Director of Clearfield Energy, Inc.

He received his B.S. in Finance from Villanova University and his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
